Vision:

Activate Phoenixville Area, as an advocate for a more healthy community, will connect community members with health / wellness opportunities, events and programs, to be a clearing house for the information, education, and resources that exist within the Phoenixville area.

History:

Activate Phoenixville Area, a subsidiary of Activate America, and in partnership with Activate Chester County, was launched in 2006 as part of a national initiative that encourages each community to pool its resources and design a plan to improve the well-being of its residents through health and nutrition education, and opportunities for physical activity.

Activate Phoenixville Area hired a part time Coordinator to advance its programs and mission in 2007. Activate Phoenixville Area is very grateful to our sponsors for the support they provide to our commuity programming.

APA is proud to be in partnership with Activate Chester County, which provides support to community groups throughout the county and is a collaboration among hospitals, health and recreation organizations, school districts, municipalities, and YMCAs across Chester County that are working to reduce obesity rates in Chester County.
